It's calling my name.

B.E.A.C.H

In less than two weeks I will be sitting on the beach enjoying a nice beverage in the sand.
 I. cannot. wait.
Jackson has told me for the last three weeks to stop talking about it or it will never come. I just can't help it. It is the only thing that has got me through these weeks of school.

We are going to the beach to celebrate the end of the semester, but most of all we are going to celebrate this beautiful ladies 21st birthday!

Sun, sand, drinks, and a very very special birthday!
Cheers to a wonderful 21st birthday Hannah Bugg.

Easter Weekend

I came home to spend the weekend in Alex City for Easter. Jackson and I got in late on Friday, but Saturday was a full day. Morning came and Jackson was busy working outside for his dad while I layed in the house enjoying my lazy day and air conditioning. We and when I say "we" I mean Jackson gave Willy a nice summer look and later that night we joined some friends for drinks at a local restaurant.

Easter Sunday began at Flint Hill Methodist Church with my Mimi and continued to her house for some good cooking with family.
We snapped a few pictures in front of her new home after we checked out what has been done in the last months.
Jackson and I moved down the road to see his family for a little while before packing up and heading home. It was a nice weekend.

All that was missing was the Sanford side Easter.
Due to my Grandmother, Goldie, having a mild stroke Saturday, plans changed. They were thought about all  Sunday though and prayers have been said for a full and quick recovery.
Happy Birthday Grandmother, We Love You!

Graceful Fall

Apparently I am not suppose to wear high heels to the bar on a Saturday night (Ryan says). I was out and about heading to the bathroom in Auburn, Alabama at Skybar when I was chatting with some old friends, not paying attention, and then BAM. My heel got caught in the top stair and I completely missed the middle one, while tumbling down on my left ankle.
Maybe one day life will ease up.

I did not get any photos of this terrible memory, but thought I would give you an idea of what happened. So I went to the doctor today and they discovered I had a small fracture and could have pulled somethings in my foot here and there. They felt bad enough for me -- since I am a college student, so they did not stick me with crutches, but strapped a boot on me and sent me on my way!

My brother, Ryan, and Dad got a kick out of it when I limped my way into Carquest and called me a baby, but I guess I am and apparently everyone gets humor out of my clumsiness.

"She'll take a beer over white wine and a campfire over candle light"

Lately my fella Brad Paisley has disappointed me with his choice of songs, but his new one, Old Alabama, seems to be a catchy tune -- not to mention Alabama has a few lines thrown into the mix. I love, love, love country music. My mom thinks I listen to it a little too much, but I just disagree and jam out. My brother always seems to ask me why I talk so country and well frankly I cannot help it, but I don't think I have the southern accent THAT bad.

Camping out.

"She’d rather wear a pair of cut-off jeans than a fancy evening dress,
And with her windows rolled down and her hair all blown around, she’s a hot southern mess..."

She's going to be a Meacham.

Lindsay and Jacob are getting MARRIED in May! May weddings have been a great experience since last May was when my brother Ryan and his lovely wife Jessica tied the knot! (One year is right around the corner).

From the wedding showers to the parties we love it ALL and could not be happier for those two crazy love birds.

Over the weekend Jackson and I headed back to Alex City to enjoy a great night at the Lunch Bunch that ended at Colonel Tom's (local Dadeville bar) which it was my first experience -- very nice treat. Now I know what everyone raves about when they are chatting it up about late nights at "CT's."

And the groom and Jackson

The wedding gift to Jacob from some of the fella's, which he loved and
was very surprised. As for you that do not know what this is look up a
Green Egg.

The two hour drive to Alex City sure does get long, but it is worth is when there is friends, drinks, and good music. So overall we had a fantastic weekend. Here is just a recap of mine and Jackson's well spent weekend:
Friday: Dinner at Jake's then met up with friends for drinks, Saturday: Breakfast at Catherine's Market with Jacob and Lindsay, Lake time, threw some H-shoe's, then off to get ready for a night out with friends in Alex City and CT's, Sunday: Jackson and I had a lazy day. Enjoy some breakfast at Huddle House,
went home to take a nap and recover, then hit the dock for some sun.

= Overall this weekend was a very big success and I enjoyed every second of it!

I cannot wait to see Lindsay and Jacob say their "I DO'S."

Jackson and I hit the one year mile marker yesterday, April 6th.

What can I say? We're true lovin'.

Is it summer yet?

Summer cannot come any sooner! This past Saturday Jessica, Deidra, and myself threw on our bathing suits and headed to John and Lacey's to enjoy some fun in the sun.

We all enjoyed laying out with a couple of cold ones and then a few of them hit up an aggressive game of volleyball. Go figure Jessica and Ryan both have a bitter side to losing, which Jessica showed in the sand while on a team with John.
I also figured out Jessica apparently likes to chest bump the Howell's, which they seemed to enjoy.

On a side note Jessica and I decided we are going to try out a photography class this summer. Maybe- if all works out. If Deidra's lucky she will have her camera by then and know how to make all the cool snaps shots like Jessica and I.

Pre- Formal Rave

Well this is old news, but the Thursday before our formal we decided to go out to Greek village. There was a rave at one of the fraternity's, which Ashley googled "what to wear" to this event since we'd never been (God love my roommate) - but I really don't own anything neon so we scratched that idea and wore what was laying in the closet.

Everyone asked why we were in cute clothes.

We had a great time with friends, loud music, and decent drink (which were free and that made them even better.)

Life as a Sorority Sista

Well I had my first sorority formal and it was definitely a new experience. Tons of girls and guys all around the house snapping photos, loud chatting, and stumbling footsteps. We took a charter bus to downtown Atlanta to the Biltmore Hotel and had dinner with good music.
Life as an Alpha Xi Delta.

Even though Ashley has a cutie for a boyfriend, I definitely won most handsome date!

Ash and I are stuck together for another year so we try to love each other.

These girls are absolutely great, but West Ga has its hands full.
My lovely date and boyfriend.
