On the menu for tonight

Well I had a text earlier today that said, "what are you cooking me for dinner?"

Which is always Jackson's question when he is coming to Carrollton.

So I gave him two options. Spaghetti or Baked Chicken and Rice.

And the winner is........  ...... .... ...

CHICKEN!

Note: this is not mine. I forgot to snap a picture before we jumped in.
It did not look this good, but tasted pretty scrumptious.
We also had Mac N Cheese and some crescent rolls to throw on the side!
Jackson, Montana (my roommate), and I enjoyed the night of hearty food.

Three's a Charm

This coming up weekend is Father's Day and I guess I am one blessed gal because I have three.

My Dad:
The man. Thanks for all that you do.

And my two Grandfather's:

PaPa

 Pappy

Overall... My brothers and I are blessed to have such great men in our lives.

Happy Father's Day!
Love you.

Oh, Georgia.

Last night was a very interesting night.

Jessica and Megan came to Carrollton for a night of fun downtown.

We had good drinks, great music, and a long night of laughter.

Girls at the Pub.
We started at the Border, a local Mexican joint, continued to Plates for a relaxing drink with some live music, and then afterwards we headed to the last destination for some dancing.
Home town best friends.
LG girls and Roanoke girls.
Any who, I loved having Jessica and Megan in Carrollton with us.

This morning they seemed that they really enjoyed the nightlife here too.

Life is good in Georgia.

Crush

Ian Harding. Mr. Fitz is probably the main reason I watch Pretty Little Liars.

Never have I ever seen an English teacher look this good.

Ashley made the comment last night that Mr. Fitz "reminded her of Jackson" and maybe that is why I think he is just absolutely gorgeous.

Meet Jackson.

Jackson or Fitz? hmm.

Hanging pictures to Tiki Torches

Well this past weekend was Jazz Fest or in the words of my sis-n-law, "Jazzy Jazz Fest."

Enjoying Friday night in Alex City

It happened to be the weekend Ryan went out of town to New Orleans for his best friends bachelor party, so we took full advantage of a girls weekend. Jessica, Deidra, and I had a slumber party from Friday till Sunday and it was nothing less than perfect.

Friday we headed downtown to the Jazz Fest and enjoyed seeing friends and jammin' good music.

We enjoyed each others company too much this weekend, I believe.

Saturday morning the three of us were up and moving around close to 7:30 for a trunk show at 10:30 Jessica hosted for Stella and Dot. Everyone had a good time with great food Jessica, Deidra, and Mrs. Wanda prepared and loved looking at all the pretty, pretty jewelry.

Isn't Mrs. Wanda's flowers gorgeous!?

After the party I headed with mom down to see my Grandmother, who by the way is recovering very well and is at home now, and then took a trip to see Mimi and Pappy.

Jessica, Deidra, and I were lazy and when I say lazy I mean we sat there and looked at each other until we realized if we did not get ready then we would not have time to go to the amphitheater for another round of the Jazz Fest festivities.

We finally moved from the couch to the bedroom to throw on some clothes, refresh, and head out the door. Before heading to the amphitheater we made a pit stop at a local restaurant, Sinclair's, to enjoy some delicious food and SOTB drinks.

Picture I snapped at Sinclair's. Beautiful, huh?

Afterwards we headed back to Sinclair's for some more fun and drinks!
Overall Jessica, Deidra, and myself had a fun weekend and had moments where we were all in tears from too much laughter.

So I'd say we had a very success weekend.

I failed to mention my main squeeze also made an appearance after telling me he was having to work this weekend.
He just couldn't stand the thought of everyone being in Alex City having a blast without him.

Amanda's 21. Finally.

Well this Saturday Jackson and I headed to Auburn, Alabama to celebrate my best friends 21st birthday.

Saturday we hit up the pool for the day and Eric cooked us gator, burgers, and all different kinds of dips and chips.

As 12 rolled around, since her birthday was really on Sunday, we headed out to the bar for a fun celebration.
This is Amanda. Isn't she beautiful?

Amanda, Lacey, and myself soaking up the sun.

I love Amanda to death and hope to celebrate many more amazing birthday times with each other!

"Incredible Chicken"

So last night I tried this new recipe called "Incredible Chicken."

Jackson and I both agreed this was not so incredible, but don't let us fool you our tastebuds are a little picky.

I snapped a picture of it to show all (I am not a cook at all) which turned out to to make it look pretty.

We guessed the garlic was the problem, but I did not do as much as it called for in the recipe.

I mean how could chicken, bacon, cheese, french bread, and onions not be good? Hmm.

Maybe it was just my cooking skills that did a let down.
