Electronic Addiction

Jackson swears I stay on my iPhone and iPad to much, but I politely say "if you had all these cool things to play and look at you would be too" and with his sarcastic reply "there's no way I would be on it like you and everyone else is." I think he's jealous.

Well I recently have been addicted to this new game Temple Run. All you do is run away from mean gorillas and try to rack up points. Easy right? Well it has some twist, turns, and jumps along the way too to make it tricky.

I also downloaded the new game Scramble, which is based around a word search, but you can find words more than just vertical and diagonal. It gives you simply 2:00 minutes to get as many words as possible and hope you have more words than your opponent. Pretty fun.

Well I thought I had it all to myself since Jack refuses to be up on his technology, but little to my surprise he has been on my phone and ipad a good bit. He even made me leave it with him to play while I went to class and he was at home sick.

Jackson is feeling better, but still comes home from work and plays a "couple" of rounds on my games.
(If you're beating me that means Jackson has my phone), I kid.

On the Menu

Well last night I decided to try out Jackson's new cookbook he got for Christmas from his parent's.

Calling All Cooks Two -- if you're interested in another good cookbook, check it out!

I found something that involved chicken-- since that's pretty much all I ever eat and then found the easiest thing I could make.

It led me to Chicken Pot Pie.

Jackson said it was pretty good, but he told me before hand he was going to say it was good whether it was or not.
Thanks.

Then for dessert we had peach cobbler. It did not turn out as good as I wanted it too, but we threw on some vanilla ice cream and called it a night by watching the movie 50/50.

Jackson and I decided that it was a good movie, but really really sad.
So if you're in for a heart touching movie, this is it!

Dinner and a movie with my main squeeze is always a good night!

Valentine's movie

Jack and I don't do much for Valentine's except maybe dinner and a movie- if there if any good ones out at the time that we would both enjoy.

So this year I've been seeing previews of The Vow that comes out around Valentines.
Jackson has agreed to take me.

I'm pretty excited about this movie. I hope it's good!

Check it out! It gives me chills because it looks so darn sweet.

Park City, Utah

This past weekend a group of Alex City friends and loved ones decided to leave on a jet plane and head to Mack Jackson's house in Utah for some skiing.

It was beautiful there, amazing actually.

We skied, ate delicious meals, and some good laughs.

We headed out at about 3:30 in the morning, had a layover in Denver, and then off to Salt Lake City around 10:00.

The view from the house.

He loves it there

After we awed over the house we were staying in for the weekend, Mack's step dad made us chili to enjoy our first night in Utah.

We all went to bed pretty early since we were all exhausted from the flight there.

7AM came early, but we geared up to hit the slopes for a little shredding our first full day there.
First day of hitting the slopes
Pretty funny. I had some minor breakdowns, but day two was better.

Ski Lift

Jackson laughs because I had to hold my poles up from using them incorrectly.
I trusted them to much to help my falls.

Ryan and I were determined to get this ski thing down.

Finally on a green.

Jackson helped me all the way to the top

At the top.

This shows the mountains a little better.

Oh, just skiing down

This place was beautiful.

Our last night in Utah the group decided to do a little tubing, which was so fun.
We all grabbed a tube and hit the hill.
This shows how big of AU fans we are
All the Auburn fans had either orange or blue tubes.

We returned home at about 6:15 Monday night and it was a long, tiring trip back.

We were sore and exhausted come Tuesday morning for work and class, but THE ski trip 2012 in Park City, Utah was definitely worth it!

It was a success!
A big thanks to our buddy, Mack!

Christmas Joy and New Years Fun

I got lazy on my camera skills over the holiday-- Along with blogging.

I did not snap any pictures at Mimi and Pappy's, but Christmas eve we headed over there for lunch and enjoyed some good soups and sipped on Christmas tea!

At Grandmother and PaPa's I did snap some rando's as we were enjoying a nice game of bingo and racking up on gifts, well I won once. And it was chocolate covered cherries, which I dislike. Merry Christmas to me.

Jack and I on our way.

BINGO time.

Christmas was great with the Sanford crew and Bolan side. We love it all and are very blessed.

NEW YEARS eve:

Well of course we watched Auburn dominate. Enjoyed it. Love it.

We decided that since we are leaving next Thursday (for Utah) it would be smart to relax at someones house, enjoy some grilled steaks, and good snacks.

Lake Martin it is.

Happy Happy New Year from Jack and I!!

War Eagle, Hey.

Christmas laughs

Well I've been away-- mainly to lazy, not busy.

So I'll start off entertaining you with Jackson's little "prank" he did the weekend before Christmas.

A little catch-up:

My birthday this past year I told him I thought it would be neat if I got a bike and we started riding together since he has some pretty awesome trails by the river near his apartment.

September 16 came and went with no bike.

The joke had been on-going over the break about Jackson getting me a bike and I told him it was December and way to cold to ride my bike to and from school, but he insisted I have one and told me he was not getting me ugly Ray Bans.

So here is how the weekend before Christmas went:

We opened gifts while dinner was cooking.
Hmm...

Jackson went.

Snazzy new jacket

Here I go...

Oh it's really a bike.....

Even a helmet and chain.

He insisted I have pictures

The cool helmet.

We opened gifts and thanked each other. I told Jackson he was going to have to bring his bike to Atlanta now.

Then sat down and enjoyed a nice dinner.

Jackson kept chuckling to himself and even laughed out loud while I was opening my gifts. I did not see why my gift was so funny.

After an hour past he said he could not wait any longer...

For what I wonder? hmm. He reached under the couch and grabbed a small, but heavy gift neatly wrapped.

I had NO clue of what it could be.

Well I slowly opened it .... AND it was a Ipad which I did NOT ask for!

So excited, I hugged him and grabbed my gift to immediately begin charging it. (No pictures taken of the real deal-- Show a picture later.)

Merry Christmas to ME. Jackson did great with the prank and gift.
