On to the next

Bluefield has been good since we have been able to make the drive back and forth when we want too.

Other than that…… It's just not our cup of tea.

The last month Jackson and Scot have been building a deck for the hospital at their picnic area. They included me. I enjoyed getting out and hanging with the "boys."

I watched them dig holes..
I did do some work, eventually..

Suns out and so is the wind..
Finished views!
Jackson is a wonderful handy man.
I give him a hard time about thinking he knows
"everything," but he really can do a lot!
He's my workin' man.
Cute too.

*REWIND:

We also kicked off my good friend, Jessica Hamner's, wedding festivities this March with an engagement party! It was beautiful.

Bring on JUNE!
She's going to be a Blackburn!

"after the ring" picture this last summer… aren't
they a beautiful couple?

This is Buddy helping Jackson with the menu
labels for the party that night.
My sweet men.

And… we went golfing earlier that
day. Jackson's request..

He loves to golf.

The Bride!

Some of the girls at the Lowry's
to celebrate Matt and Jessica!

AND we are back..

Helping your husband build a deck comes with good prizes too.

Pecan Cobbler
so. yummy.

And this was over our table ..
It seemed fitting for our life.

God has little ways to give us
signs and remind us of what we got.

Well on to the next… and the next is TEXAS.

We are saying goodbye to Bluefield, West Virginia and heading toward
 Houston, Texas next week sometime.

I'm excited because of this….

VS...

I NEED SUNSHINE.

I'm done with snow and it
doesn't look like snow is done
with WV.
Snowing outside right now… Blah.

I've been looking up things to do in Houston and it looks like
so much fun. There is so much to do and we have
little time to knock it all out!

I also have family near us and friends.
That makes moving a little better..even
if it is 11 hours away!

Life is good!
Texas bound, yee-haw.

DIY

Just two of the DIY Jackson and I have done over the past couple
of the months.

Jewelry holder.

Jackson bar stools he built for me.
He's good huh?
.. so handy..

And then we painted them "wicker"
Maybe I'll get some fun cushions for them later.

I wish I had Jackson's ability to build things
and my sissy's ability to put things together
and look perfect -- Y'all should see my brother and sissy's house.

Looks very stylish.
Like them :).

Happy Hump day!

O.T.W

Well going home came and went.. too fast, as always.

Thursday night on our way home Jackson and I decided to celebrate our first Valentines married with some good food in Anniston. (We don't really celebrate love day because we love each other everyday :)… duh)
Sunday cruise this weekend.

Thursday and Friday were spent in Wedowee with my parents. We cooked out Friday night - hamburgers and hotdogs - my request and caught up on everything.

And of course loved on a sweet baby boy, Buddy.

Did some tax business and delivering at my dad's part place, that was a good Valentines day!

Saturday was my Mother-in-Laws birthday so Jackson and I were suppose to meet them at his house for lunch, but Jackson got a little confused with the "dinner and supper" terms. We still got to spend Saturday with her and Bud while eating leftovers for dinner.

Saturday night also had something big in store. Three Girls, One City premiered at Jessica and Ryan's new house.

What. a. hoot. Jessica out did herself with her mad movie skills.

Popcorn, candy, and strong cosmos provided. They are great hostess.

The movie consisted of Jessica, Deidra, and myself in NYC with ridiculous short clips from Jessica's video camera she brought and some fun pictures.

Some people just did not get it. We did, haha.
.. and some may or may not thought they were
getting to see a new movie out ..

Here are the 3 stars in NYC.

.. and many drinks
It was a bunch of nonsense that we love and
everyone else secretly loves too.

Sunday morning was filled with a yummy Who's breakfast with my sissy and Ryan then Jackson and I headed back to Raintree to get ready for church at the one and only First Baptist Church.

I loved getting to see Mrs. Nancy play the piano at church. It was a great treat.

It was a fun filled weekend. I miss my family and friends, but it makes coming home much more special.

We got to see family, in-laws, and good friends. Can't beat that!
Life is Good.

Happy 1st Valentines day married, Jackson! Here's to many more (love you so much it hurts).

2 songs we love:

He's had a hard month so he will get extra love.

Flat Top, WV

This past Sunday Jackson and I decided to try out Flat Top for a little skiing.

Conclusion: Park City and Keystone spoiled us.

The last 3 years we have went skiing: Utah, Colorado, and now West Virginia.

Utah and Colorado definitely blow Flat Top out of the water, but it was still fun
to spend the day with this fella.

We have been saying we were going to go for weeks
and this weekend we didn't give any excuses and loaded up
and headed to Winterplace Resort.

Before hitting the slopes.

Selfie Sunday for this handsome one.

...and then my Selfie Sunday.
It's always just the two of us ..so selfies have to do.

Riding up the tiny ski lift...

After having a pretty gross lunch at the cafe
Jackson found a spot to warm up before heading
back out on the slopes.

He was a tad jealous of the little 60 year old
man whose job was to put wood in the large fireplace.

** Side note: Only one bad fall for me during skiing .. not too shabby!

Now we are ready to load up this week and
head south for a long weekend!

Bama bound Thursday. Whoop Whoop.
Life is good!

Summertime FEVER

Snow is pretty for a day or two people.

..Or on Christmas Eve or day, I'll give you that.
That's it.

After living in Colorado and now West Virginia I have
had my share of snow and it's now annoying.
Sorry Mom. I know you like seeing snow.

It's safe to say I am ready for SUMMER.

I'm having summertime fever.
Lake, friends, windows down, boat rides, tan skin….

Y'all I married a hottie ;)

You get the picture?

Life is Good!
Come on Summer 2014.

Baby Buddy

Well Dad called me at the beginning of the week while I was at the gym to tell me some sad news about my baby, Buddy.

I was in public so I couldn't get upset or worked up with all these ripped up guys and girls about my dog. I did good until I got home.

here he is sporting a cool plaid vest, like his uncle.

No he's not on his death bed or anything. Its just when it comes to that little guy, I guess you could call me a tad obsessed. [I love my dog, sue me.]

Dr. Sam (our vet and family friend) advised us to leave Buddy over night at the vet for them to observe him on his first night with insulin. That's right. My pup is diabetic. Sad.

Lately, he's been having more accidents around the house and gulping down large amounts of water while not eating a bit.

So my brother clay took him to his check up visit on his ears and told Doc about the occurrences.. and that's when we got it laid on us about that precious baby.

On top of losing 5 pounds and being diabetic, he had a torn ACL. Gah, you would think that dog was a dare devil active pup like his cousin, Maggie Sanford.
here's my sweet, carefree niece in her nanner outfit

So that's on the agenda next once this sugar thing is worked out.

Buddy is home, cranky, and wants to be treated like a king since we abandoned him at the vet for a day.

I'm sad he's not with me and at my parents, but I know he's is great hands!

Life is good and love your pets!
