OTW - Just around the riverbend

So this past weekend was very relaxing for Jackson and I.

Our little adventure -- Saturday we decided to grab some floats and hit the Chattahoochee River for some sun and relaxation.

We didn't realize all the trouble it would be to find a decent float and on top of that we learned that day that you MUST have life jackets or you would get $150 ticket! Even with floats! It was kind of silly to Jack and I, but neither of us wanted to risk the chance. So we went on a crazy little adventure hitting up Target, Walmart, and a sporting store = NOTHING.

All we wanted were the cheap orange life jackets, but they were no where to be found!
Sneaky little thing!
Finally a nice guy we talked to in one of the stores told us about a place called West Marina and low and behold ... The cheap little orange life jackets you dreaded as a kid.

Well we got on our way and finally got to the river!

We weren't floatin' in style as we looked around and saw all these groups with their nice tubes with cup holders and coolers. So Jackson got a name of a float some friends were on and got online and order that fancy thing!!

River floating and Aquapalooza in style now!
Two seats AND cooler, living the life in the water!

Jackson did not get the point of me singing "Just Around the River bend" from Pocahontas, but my girl friends from home would have loved it!

And the day wouldn't be complete without my man the one and only, Alan Jackson, and my favorite song "Way Down Yonder on the Chattahoochee" ... let's just say some of those lyrics came out a time or too that day!
