Hello Senior year.... Finally.

This is just a post reminding my loved ones aka my mother, SIL, and so on that I will be graduating Spring 2013 and all gifts are appreciated! I can give a list of things if you are having any trouble coming up with a nice, fancy gift.

I finally made it to my Senior year. It took long enough, but it is here. Come next Monday I will start on my last Fall semester as an undergrad and I have never been more ready!

Speech-Language Pathologist on deck for the future, scary yes. I know. Next stop graduate school, Praxis II and all that other "fun" stuff.

One step at a time!
April 27th, HURRY UP.

First Day

Here's a look at Jackson's first day of orientation last Monday!

Isn't he handsome? I think so.

I hope everyone has a great Monday and Jackson
I hope you have a wonderful full week of work
in Peru, Indiana!
Love and Miss you

Zoo Day

If you don't know Jackson or haven't been around him much you could pretty much call him a "penny pincher." I sure do love that penny pincher though.
I have been begging him for the past two years to either take me to the Georgia Aquarium or to the Atlanta Zoo while he was living there.

He refused and said we never "had time," which I know it was because he didn't see paying $30 dollars a person to go look at animals appealing.

I don't ask much so you can say I was a little bitter since he moved from Atlanta and I knew there was my chance of ever going with him out the window.

So since he had his orientation in Birmingham I kindly asked him if he thought he could squeeze in a trip to the zoo if it was possible. Also, I threw in it was only $5 to get in on Sunday's and he quickly took that and ran with the idea. I think he was tired of hearing me and saw $25 less.

It was really enjoyable minus the screaming kids that whirled by you rudely and their parents not acknowledging their inappropriate behavior and the temp was pretty hot.

I just enjoyed being with my boo and walking around checking out all the cool animals.
He said he felt pretty sad for the animals, but I think he enjoyed it too. It was just a nice day spent together.

I asked him to show me his "zoo face."

This reminded me of the Lion King and I love it.
I still cry watching it.

I think giraffes are such pretty animals.

I had to snap a picture of the goats since my PaPa and Uncle Dennis love them.
And they're pretty cute.

Jackson found him a nice spot he tried to stay at a little
longer than I intended.

I just felt like a kid again being back at the zoo and enjoying the great outdoors
and wildlife with my man.

Jackson's Farewell

Well a lot has happened over the last month. Big Changes. New beginnings. New chapter, so lets turn the page.

Jackson received a phone call a couple of weeks ago about a job offer and gladly accepted- after discussing with me the change of course.

It wouldn't be such a big deal since the company's main office is out of Birmingham, but this job offer requires him to travel all over. Bummer, I know.

It is sad for me and yes I've been asked a million times, "what are you going to do without Jack" and well frankly I haven't the foggiest idea. He's my side kick, main squeeze, and best friend. I haven't really figured it all out, but we are working out the details.

So Jackson had a farewell party. Well more like 8 really. He really soaked up everyone missing him over these last weeks and we all showed the love and sadness of is presence being absent in the future. It's going to be tough for him. He loves him some Alex City. And his great friends.

Well here are some pictures I snapped throughout the first party at his favorite place in AC, the FC(fish camp) - well behind the wonderful and amazing Lake Martin:

This is the only picture of him because he was so caught up in the horseshoe tournament.

Point proven. (insert Jackson here)
I had to take a lonely picture because his love for horseshoes.

Aren't they handsome?

Here is the SIL/Sissy who has came to Jack's farewell party dressed
in Olympic themed, since they had just started, wearing her
Gold medal. This also proves Sanford's ARE #1.
#winners.

Saturday after the FC fun the boys had their football draft down at D.J.'s and I wished I had snapped some pictures there because it was so professional and "serious."

Growing up with hardcore sports fanatics I understood the seriousness of the draft (cough: Amanda who spoke the 3 words no one should say during the draft "this is boring"). We had to sit their quietly and hear names being called out I had never even heard of before. It was pretty interesting.

I was just glad they didn't force us to sit outside in the heat after we got done soaking up the sun down at the pier.

After the draft was figured out and complete with everyone satisfied or content with their team, we decided to head down to Harbor Docks to grab some drinks and food. Farewell #2:

This is the "let's see how close we can get in a picture"

The girls.

The guys.

Overall, the parties were fun and sadly had to come to an end since Jackson started his first day of work in Peru, Indiana this past Friday with M J Harris.
If you want to check out the last farewell party that my SIL/Sissy/Jessica captured at Jake's with the family check out her blog Stage Fright Jitters !
Life is Good and great for new opportunities.
And we thank God for jobs!
